Training Philosophy
OPT Model
The OPT (Optimum Performance Training) model, designed by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, will improve all functional abilities including flexibility, core, stabilization, balance, strength, power, and cardiorespiratory endurance.
Assess
There will be monthly assessments for members. This assessment will include the simple exercises used in the first assessment. We will note any changes and use those to set new baselines.
Progress
The OPT model is a progressive model. Members should see themselves getting closer and closer to their goals. Stagnation is a sign that changes in the plan are needed.
Rest
Members will learn detect and listen to the need to rest. Backing away from an exercise or skipping a session is OKAY.
